Arkansas Divorce Laws, Child Support, and Attorneys
Arkansas Residency Requirements
To obtain an Arkansas divorce either party must have been present in the state for at least 60 days before commencement of theaction, plus another 30 days before the final decree may be entered. In cases of willful desertion for one year without reasonable cause, or continuous separation for 18 months without cohabitation, these residency requirements are waived.
Arkansas Divorce Grounds

Voluntarily separation without cohabitation for 18 months;

Impotence;

Adultery;
-
Confinement for incurable insanity or separation caused by mental illness for a period of 3 years;

Conviction of a felony;

Cruel and inhuman treatment which endangers the life of the spouse;

Personal indignities;
-
Habitual drunkenness for 1 year;

The commission and/or conviction of an infamous crime; and
-
Willful nonsupport.
